Serbia, Montenegro and Natura 2000: Strengthening the Capacity of Governments and Civil Sector in Montenegro and Serbia to Adapt EU Natura 2000 Aquis

The aim of the project is to support the adoption and implementation of EU environmental protection standards in Montenegro and regional cooperation, in order to meet international obligations for biodiversity conservation.

The project implies capacity building of NGOs in Montenegro and Serbia, and their networking, exchange of information in order to take an active role in the process of establishing Natura 2000 in Montenegro and Serbia, and support of national legislation development and functional database construction for Natura 2000.

The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Young Researchers of Serbia and WWF and is supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through WWF Norway.
