Finding right solution for sustainable hydro power

The overall aim of the project is improvement in planning and developing of HP projects using best practices and experiences gathered in previous plans and projects

Specific aims of the project are to promote the implementation of /international standards/legislation into all phases of the HP planning/development process and to raise awareness on best HP planning and development practices.

Through this project Green Home wants to make impact to this negative practice by using existing examples (SEA outputs for Komarnica and Moraca) in round table discussion and brochure with information on national and international standards related to the HE (interpretation of regulations), but also to point out sustainable practices in country.

As a result of the project, round table should gather investors (Komarnica and Moraca), relevant decision makers, local NGOs and self government tackled by current plans and should serve for exchanging experiences in implementation of national and international provisions related to the HE plans and projects and raise issues they feel have not been properly addressed. Round table conclusions and informative brochure will serve not just for current Komarnica and Moraca HE, but also for other planned HE projects and might tackled National energy strategy 2030. Regularly media reporting is planned through project time realisation.
