Green Home held lectures on energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy poverty

Podgorica, 05.July 2016 -  As part of course "Light me, light the future" organized by the Board of European Students of Technology (BEST), lectures on energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy poverty was held.


Lecture was held by the representative of NGO Green Home and it was contain various topics related to environment, global warming and our common future on planet Earth. Lot of questions are raised like: - To what extent our behavior and attitude towards the energy can contribute to its rational use and thus reduce the adverse impact on emissions of greenhouse gases shown by '2050 energy model "which is made out for the whole region of South Eastern Europe and for the individual country.


During this course students are acquainted with the trends of the European Union in the energy sector with special reflection on situation in Montenegro.This leacture was  also an opportunity for students from across Europe to exchange knowledge about the energy situation in their countries, the administration of energy efficiency measures, the type of energy source used, etc.


As it was expected, Scandinavian countries are leaders when it comes to energy efficiency, environmental protection and use of renewable resources for energy production. They governments are strongly support energy efficiency in all sectors but the most in sector of transport and building.


Participants of this course apart from students from Montenegrin University where student from numerous countries all around Europe, such as: Sweden, Norway, Austria, Belgium, Polish, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Turkey, Greece, Russia and Ukraine.
