Green Home is organizing a round table on pollution

Podgorica, September 29, 2016 - NGO Green Home is organizing a round table on the topic "Challenges and solutions in achieving the objectives in the field of air quality in Montenegro" which will be held on September 29, 2016.in Hotel Ramada, starting at 10 h.

 

The round table is organized within the project "Clean Air for Montenegro", which is oriented towards raising awareness of various civil society organizations and citizens at the local and national level on the harmful effects of combustion of fossil fuels, with a focus on operation of thermal power plants and their adverse impact on health and environment.

 

The objectives of the round table will be to inform the public about the level of air pollution in Montenegro, its negative impact on health and the environment, as well as the information about the responsibilities and capacities of Montenegro to respond to strict standards and the EU directives in this area, and all this from the aspect of the possible construction of a new thermal power plant in Pljevlja.

 

One of the presenters at the round table will be Vlatka Matkovic Puljic from the organization HEAL, the leading European organization that investigates how the environment affects human health in the European Union.
