On the occasion of Earth Day, among other activities, NGO Green Home organized a film screening yesterday at Cineplexx, attended by more than 250 primary and secondary school students.

Students from higher grades of primary and secondary schools in Podgorica and Danilovgrad had the opportunity to watch the documentary Legacy by Jan Artur Bertrand. The film delivers a powerful message about nature, humanity, and the challenges we face. On one hand, it showcases the impressive beauty and value of the natural world, while on the other, it portrays the suffering of our planet caused by human activity. At the same time, it offers solutions that can help preserve Earth as a home for future generations.

Students from the following schools attended the screening: Vladimir Nazor, Njegoš, Radojica Perović, Boško Radulović, Gimnazija Podgorica, Maksim Gorki, Dragiša Ivanović, Pavle Rovinski, and Ivan Uskoković.

After the screening, students engaged in discussions about the key ecological problems facing our planet and were encouraged to become agents of positive change in environmental protection in the future.

The students had the opportunity to speak with one of Montenegro’s leading biological scientists, Snežana Dragićević. During the discussion, students demonstrated an understanding of the ecological challenges facing Montenegro and the planet as a whole, as well as concern for these issues.

The discussion also provided an opportunity for students to share their own ideas on how to improve or promote environmental protection, which was especially encouraging, showing that young people are interested in actively contributing to this field.

The screening of Legacy was organized with the support of the EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal Project, which is fully free thanks to funding from Creative Europe MEDIA and major sponsors and partners, including the Slovenian Ministry of Public Administration, Vienna Insurance Group with its local brand Wiener Städtische Life Insurance, the Austrian collective copyright organization VAM, and the cinema partner Cineplexx International, active in 11 countries and 33 cities.

On the occasion of Earth Day, among other activities, NGO Green Home organized a film screening yesterday at Cineplexx, attended by more than 250 primary and secondary school students.
