Center for the protection and study of birds is announcing an open call for proposals for the support of projects of civil society organizations (CSOs) in Montenegro, within the project:
“Enhancing the CSO Environmental Engagement under the EU Accession framework (4E)”
Project proposals, which should contribute to the successful mobilization of CSOs and local communities to solve environmental problems and challenges in accordance with EU standards, can be submitted by September 26, at 4 p.m.
CSOs who meet the following cumulative conditions have the right to participate in this competition:
to have the status of a legal entity;
that they are non-profit type;
that they are civil society organizations;
that they are registered in Montenegro at least 12 months before the deadline for submitting the project proposal and that they have their headquarters in Montenegro;
that they are directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project
that the annual budget of the organization does not exceed EUR 80,000.

Project proposals and other documents required by the call for proposals should be sent in printed form exclusively by post, in a sealed envelope, to the address: Center for the Protection and Study of Birds, Velje brdo 35, 81412 Spuž and with the indication – “Enhancing the CSO Environmental Engagement under the EU Accession framework (4E)”, no later than September 26 at 4 p.m. The electronic version should be sent to the email smallgrant.4e@czip.me.
The total amount of funds to be distributed according to this tender is EUR 51,000.
The amount of funds that can be allocated for an individual project within this call for proposals will range from a minimum of 5,000 EUR to a maximum of 7,000 EUR. The requested amount of funds within this competition can be between a minimum of 70% and a maximum of 100% of eligible costs. The difference between the total budget of the project and the approved amount of support through this competition, if it is not supported 100%, must come from funds that are not from the budget of the European Union.
In order to inform the interested applicants of project ideas, the project partners will organize info sessions that will be held according to the following schedule:
August, 29 starting at 11 a.m. – Tivat, Municipality building, multimedia hall
August, 30 starting at 11 a.m. – Regional Business Center, Rudeš b.b., Berane
August, 31 starting at 12:00 – European House, Trg Argentina no. 4, Podgorica
At the info sessions, the goals, topics and conditions of the competition will be presented in detail, and the project team will answer the questions of interested CSOs.
The project “Enhancing the CSO Environmental Engagement under the EU Accession framework (4E)” is implemented within the framework of Coalition 27, which is the leading national CSO network in the area of the environment and under whose watchful eye the activities within Chapter 27 have been monitored for years – environment and climate change. The project is financially supported by the European Union, through the program “Civil Society Facility 2021 and Thematic Program on Human Rights and Democracy 2021” and the Ministry of Public Administration. It is implemented by the non-governmental organizations Center for the Protection and Study of Birds, Green Home, Society of Young Ecologists and Northern Earth.
