To celebrate World Wetlands Day, we organized an educational visit to Skadar lake for volunteers, activists and biology and environment protection students. The visit took place at point Stanaj – near the border crossing Božaj.

At the visit, we pointed out the importance of wetlands for people and the nature alike, as well as our stance towards such an important habitat.

The participants were acquainted with the natural values of the Skadar lake, its importance in an ecological sense, as well as the human factor of influence on this ecosystem, and other planned projects in this area which threaten to endanger its values.
