The aim of the project is to enhance the knowledge and participation of civil society organizations (CSOs) and citizens in local decision-making processes, thereby contributing to a more transparent and inclusive implementation of the Green Agenda and related policies at both national and local levels.
Specific objectives of the project include:
- Strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations to monitor, analyze, and advocate for policies related to the Green Agenda.
- Empowering civil society organizations to monitor the implementation of key public policies related to depollution.
- Actively involving citizens and civil society organizations in public consultations and policy dialogue at national and local levels.
- Improving cooperation mechanisms between CSOs, local authorities, citizens, and other relevant stakeholders.
The project represents an important step toward strengthening the role of civil society in shaping and monitoring environmental protection policies and improving transparency and citizen participation in decision-making processes.
Expected project results:
- Civil society organizations in Montenegro will improve their knowledge of the Green Agenda and its current status in the country.
- Organizations that are part of the network, together with local organizations from the northern, southern, and central regions of Montenegro, will be empowered to monitor the implementation of key public policies related to depollution.
- Citizens and CSOs will become more actively involved in public consultations and policy dialogue on both national and local issues.
- Communication between CSOs, citizens, and relevant public institutions will become more structured, consistent, and effective.
