NGO Green Home is 06.07.2022. organized an info day on proper disposal and handling of electronic and electrical waste on Rimski trg in Podgorica.

E-waste (electronic and electrical waste) is hazardous waste because it contains many harmful substances that can endanger human health and the environment. Citizens received information on what e-waste is, how it is marked, where it is located, as well as information on the proper disposal of e-waste and how to protect yourself from its influence.
Electronics contain heavy metals and other toxic substances, which is why e-waste is toxic. The majority of e-waste is not treated adequately. As much as 70% of this waste can be recycled, and this is the only real solution for protecting the environment, public health and the economy.
The info day was organized as part of the project “Get to know harmful chemicals!” which is supported by the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism.
