The goal of the ” Waste Path: The Mission of Education ” project is to raise awareness and educate children, youth and citizens in the local communities of Montenegro about the importance of proper waste management and environmental protection. Through educational activities, we want to motivate and empower target groups to think about the possibilities of separate waste collection and reducing the pressure on sanitary landfills.
Waste management represents one of the key global challenges, which requires timely and correct action.
The project will include the implementation of a series of educational interactive workshops in primary and secondary schools in Podgorica and Nikšić, with the aim of spreading knowledge and information about proper waste disposal, separate collection of waste according to the door-to-door principle, and the importance of recycling.
We will also organize visits to the sanitary landfill “Livade” and the recycling center in Podgorica. These activities will give young people the opportunity to become more familiar with waste management processes, the real situation on the ground, but will also help spread awareness about environmental conservation among the wider population.
