An educational camp on natural disasters was held


In the period from July 25 to 27, 2019, NGO Zeleni dom – Green Home organized an educational camp about natural disasters in Crkvički Polje (Plužine Municipality). At the three-day camp, the participants had the opportunity to gain theoretical and practical knowledge about natural disasters, coping in nature, but also to get to know the natural beauties of this region.

Slobodan Delić, from the Piva Nature Park, introduced the camp participants to the natural and cultural treasures of Crkvicki Polje, the Piva Nature Park and the importance of their preservation. Lectures on natural disasters were also held by Nada Srdanović from the Directorate for Emergency Situations – Nikšić, Dragan Vujović Šlagi from the Protection and Rescue Service, while representatives of the NGO “Bushcraft Montenegro” taught young people techniques for coping and surviving in nature.

Cycling and walking tours are also organized in order for the camp participants to get to know the natural beauty and wealth of this area.

The camp was organized as part of the “I’m Ready” project, which is financially supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, from funds from the Protection and Rescue Fund.
