NGO Green Home and EIT Food organizes Challenge Lab Agrifood Hakaton which will start on 21st of November 2024 and finalize with the announcement of prize winners on 27th of November 2024.
We are inviting students, graduate & postgraduate students, technologists & scientists, food enthusiasts & young professionals to take part in Challenge Lab Agrifood Hackathon. Areas of focus of this hakaton are: sustainable agriculture and circular food ecosystem.
Challenge Lab is a project initiated by EIT Food (European Institute of Innovation and Technology). The Institute’s mission is to build an innovative community in Europe and to support development of technology and entrepreneurship in the agri-food industry.
A Challenge Lab is a project that aims to support entrepreneurs in developing ideas for new, innovative products, services, and technological solutions in the food industry. The core of this project revolves around fully understanding the perspective of the person/organization experiencing the problem, understanding their needs, getting to know their challenges/problems and checking whether the designed solutions (service, product, systems, process) really meets these needs.
In Challenge Lab we use the principles of design thinking and service design methodologies to achieve our objective.
Event will be organized in three parts in the following timeline:
Thursday, 21.11.2024 – 09:00-13:30 (online via Zoom)
Monday, 25.11.2024 – 09:00-13:30 (online via Zoom)
Wednesday, 27.11.2024 – 09:00-16:00 (live Europe House in Podgorica)
In the first phase we will explore issues, collect information, consumer needs as well as alternatives and possibilities. We will form teams and work on generation of ideas.
In the second phase participants will work on the development of solutions with the support of experienced mentors from different fields: economy, environment, agriculture, business etc. In the third phase participants will build the prototype, test it with consumers and present it to the jury based on what the jury will select the winners.

The prize for the winning team is as follows: first prize 1500 EUR, second prize 900 EUR, third prize 300 EUR.
