“Generation Change: Who Saves the World”


EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal invites Montenegrin teachers and their students to participate in an innovative green program for the future!
As part of the EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal project, on Friday, November 22, 2024, starting at 10:00 a.m. in Cineplexx CG Podgorica, a screening of the film “Generation Change: Who Saves the World” will be held. The screening will be followed by a discussion that will allow participants to exchange opinions about the film, as well as better understand the impact and cause of climate change.

Generational Change: Who’s Saving the World (documentary: Vanessa Böttcher for Südwind) Desperate for politicians’ inaction on the climate crisis, Austrian activist Sarah Sadeghi embarks on a spectacular train journey across Europe in search of people with real solutions. A railway documentary that oscillates between crisis and hope.


The coordinator of this project is the Let’s CEE Film Festival based in Vienna, and the project partner in Montenegro is the NGO Green Home. The project was launched in 2022 in five European countries and was expanded to seven additional European countries, including Montenegro, in 2024.


EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal is a project that invites teachers and their students to participate in an innovative green program for the future. A unique educational offer with a focus on sustainability brings the green agenda to young citizens, through films and discussions in cinemas and an innovative, multilingual streaming platform with a strong didactic narrative and almost fifty European films available at www.euyc.green. The project especially engages the young audience through environmental challenges and promotes green habits and a healthier and more sustainable way of life. Through the implementation of this project, together with interested teachers and students, we support the development towards an environmentally conscious society at a high level.


The project is mainly funded by Creative Europe MEDIA under the name Audience Development and Film Education.
