EXPERT MEETING WITHIN THE ADDUPT PROJECT WAS HELD

Today, an expert meeting took place at the offices of Green Home. Representatives from institutions and private companies operating in the green sector attended the meeting. The National Skills Mismatch Report in the Green Sector, prepared through this project, was presented during the discussion. We talked about the necessary definition of green jobs, improving the alignment between the private and public sectors, and introducing an educational program for specific occupations related to green jobs. The conclusion of the meeting is that there is not enough understanding of the term ‘green job,’ both by employers and the general public. The current situation in the country indicates that it is questionable whether all jobs labeled as green by employers meet the necessary criteria, whether they are in business, administrative jobs, service industries, or other sectors. Regarding educational institutions and the possibility of introducing an educational program related to green jobs, it is necessary to first strengthen capacities in terms of well-trained staff.
The meeting was organized within the ADDUPT project – Addressing Skills Mismatch in the Green Sector through Digital Upskilling of Vocational Education and Training (VET).
The project is led by Centro Superior de Formacion Europa – sur Sa (CESUR) from Spain, with partners on the project including the Albanian Center for Education and Training Care (ACT Center) from Albania, the Center for Economic, Technological, and Environmental Development (CETEOR) from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Educational Organization (Eurotraining) from Greece, CESIE from Italy, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Albania, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Center for Social Innovation (CSI) from Cyprus. The project is financially supported by the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture (EACEA) in accordance with the powers delegated to them by the European Union.
