EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal

EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal

NGO Green Home is the local Montenegrin partner of EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal. The project was launched in 2022 in five European countries and was extended to 7 additional European countries, including Montenegro, in 2024. The project coordinator is the LET’S CEE Filmfestival association based in Vienna.

EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal is a project that invites teachers and their students to participate in an innovative green program for the future. A unique educational offer with a focus on sustainability brings the green agenda to young citizens of all backgrounds, through films and discussions in cinemas and an innovative, multilingual streaming platform with a strong didactic narrative and nearly 50 European films available at www.euyc.green. The project specifically engages the young audience on environmental challenges and promotes green habits and a healthier and more sustainable way of life.

Through the implementation of this project, together with interested teachers and students, we support the development towards an environmentally conscious society at a high level

The project is mainly funded by Creative Europe MEDIA under the call Audience Development and Film Education. Montenegrin teachers can register their classes at any time at www.youth-cinema.eu/me.to watch the entire green film collection and download didactic materials.

However, numerous films can be streamed by anyone interested worldwide. Among them is also short animated film MINJA AND THE CLIMATE CHANGE directed by Zoran Marković and financially supported by the European Union. The animation was realized by the NGO Green Home in cooperation with the NGO Council for Ecological Construction and Climate Action Network within the project “Together for Climate in Montenegro”.
