The objective of this project is to decrease air pollution from the heating and contribute to the climate change mitigation in Montenegro. With this project we want to focus on the heating and individual fireplaces which generate air pollution, knowing that only in Podgorica there are households in settlements using low quality materials for heating (coal, wet wood, remains of processed wood etc.).
This will be achieved through the preparation of the comparative analysis of different types of heating in Podgorica, which will present the cost benefit analysis for the different sources of heating and highlight the indoor and outdoor pollution when it comes to the heating based on coal and/or wood, versus other energy sources. An educational and promotional campaign will be prepared based on the collected information and conclusions of the analysis. It will consist of infographics, which will present the main findings for different types of heating, media presentations of the analysis results and video materials (animations) showing these results.
The project is supported by the European Climate Foundation.
