Through the project “I am ready”, we wanted to contribute to raising the awareness of
primary and secondary school students about the risks of natural and other disasters (fire,
flood, earthquake, heat stroke, snow and blizzards, etc.) through educational campaigns
on prevention, more adequate and faster reaction in case of a natural disasters, protection
of ecosystems and improvement of the state of the environment.
General object of this project was raising awareness of elementary and high schools
students about natural and others disasters, as well as education about measures for
reducing risks of disasters.
The project was realized in: Podgorica, Pljevlja and Herceg Novi.

Accomplished results:
● Educative workshops about natural disasters were realized in ten elementary
schools: Herceg Novi: “Dašo Pavičić”, “Ilija Kišić” and “Orjenski bataljon”
Pljevlja: “Ristan Pavlović”, “Saljko Aljković”, “Boško Buha”
Podgorica: “Štampar Makarije”, “Pavle Rovinski”, “Vlado Milić”, and “Radojica
Perović”;
● Clubs were formed in schools, which will be doing the transfer of acquired
knowledge inside schools;
 18 workshops in 24 classes were held, the total number of educated students was
600;
 In the period of 25-27. July an educational camp on natural disasters was held in
Crkvicko Polje, which was attended by 20 primary and secondary school students.
At the three-day camp, the participants had the opportunity to gain theoretical and
practical knowledge about natural disasters, coping with nature, but also to get
acquainted with the natural beauties of this area. Lectures on natural disasters
were held by Nada Srdanović from the Directorate for Emergency Situations – PJ
Nikšić, Dragan Vujović Šlagi from the Protection and Rescue Service, while
representatives of the NGO “Bushcraft Montenegro” taught young people how to
navigate and survive in nature.
