The general goal of the “Hidden Villages of Piva” project is to improve the tourism capacities of the Municipality of Plužine and the “Piva” Nature Park.

The specific objectives of the project are:

1) Support for the development of adventure tourism in the rural areas of Piva Mountain and the Tara River by ensuring connectivity and improving the existing infrastructure

2) Improving the capacity of local tourist providers in the field of natural and cultural interpretation and hospitality

3) Promotion of new tourist offers of the hidden villages of Piva

Key activities:

1) Mapping of natural and cultural resources;

2) Development of a marketing strategy with an action plan;

3) Promotional activities;

4) Two trainings for representatives of local communities and tourist guides on the interpretation of natural and cultural treasures;

5) Arrangement of pedestrian and bicycle paths;

The project is supported by the Regional Cooperation Council through the Triple P tourism program and will last 9 months, from October 2019 to June 2020.
