The NGO Green Home has started the implementation of the project “Raising awareness on single use plastic pollution in Montenegro”.

Specific goals:
-Raising awareness of private sector concerning the source and consequences of plastic pollution
-Monitoring of the public sector activities and lobbing for single use ban activities
-Public awareness raise campaign
-Public awareness raise campaign

Main activities:
-Workshops for private sector (HoReCa and markets): we recognize huge possibilities to work with these the HoReCa sector in the terms of their awareness raise and education in order to find alternatives to single use plastic items they are using in their work.
-Monitoring the work of public administration: we will constantly monitor the activities of the government and insist on the regulations that ban single use plastic items in the new law on waste management.
-Awareness raise of the public: as there is constant need to further raise awareness and educate on the negative impacts of the plastic waste for the people and for the environment.

The project started on June 1, 2022. and lasts 16 months and is financially supported by Beyond Plastic Med – BeMed.
