This project will create conditions for the control of forest crime through innovative information systems, improvement of monitoring and protection mechanisms. Based on detailed analyses and lessons learned from outdated and largely unimplemented regional and national strategic documents and action plans related to this and similar issues, the new national action plans will recommend more effective regulation, monitoring, control and supervision in the fight against forest crime and corruption.
The overall goal of the project is to establish good governance in the forest sector and fight forest crimes and corruption, raising transparency and networking 4 countries (Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Macedonia)

Established regional network and knowledge exchange in the field of forest crime and corruption
Improved access to information and established control mechanisms in the field of forest crime and corruption
Developed control mechanisms
Strengthened capacities of actors in the fight against forest crime and corruption
Action plans made for the fight
Target groups of the project:
This project will primarily cover the forest and environmental protection system, including regulatory and implementing bodies / authorities (Forest Administration, administrative and other agencies for control and law enforcement in this area) but also other national and international organizations, protection agencies , NGOs, experts and academia.

Project budget:
The total amount of funds for the implementation of this project is € 776,885.00, of which the amount of € 730,272.00 (94%) is a donation from the MFA. The project starts on December 1, 2018 and lasts until November 30, 2021.
